Exercise is a very important part
of a healthy lifestyle.
Exercise while dieting will help
the body adapt to a low caloric diet through the expenditure of energy
and volume increase in muscle development. Exercise does not have to be
excessive. Walking, for example, can be integrated into a normal
lifestyle quite easily, and can be perform without unduly worrying about
age or state of health. To give an example: a 30-minute walk a day burns
the equivalent of 30 pounds a year!
Aerobics such as walking, cycling
and swimming are always healthy whether or not one is on a diet. The
increase in oxygen level allows cells and organs to work that much
better. It is important to note that sports, such as weight training,
will increase muscular volume and subsequently increase the body’s
minimum caloric requirement. Muscle also weighs more than fat, because of
its difference in mass. That is why its composition is so emphasized in
the Tanita fat monitoring scale.
