Non allowed foods while dieting because of their impact on the weight gain process.


Foods not allowed while dieting and in very limited amount while stabilizing and afterwards.


The following foods contain an abundance of fats and sugars that induce insulin output.

Meats:
Lamb, Fatty pig products i.e., bacon, ribs, fatty chops, ham, sausages,
Fatty beef products i.e. Ground beef that is not extra lean, sausage, roast, hotdogs,
any prepared deli meats, meats with sauces or fried meats

Seafood:
Tuna, and sardines packed in oil, breaded fish, deep fried fish

Fruits & Vegetables:
Avocados, Brussels sprouts, kidney beans, chick peas, split peas, potato, chips,
nuts, including peanuts, coconut and almonds, figs, dates, dried fruits

Drinks:
Juices made from concentrate, all alcohol including beer, and wine

Dairy Products:
All dairy products that contain more than 10% fat or are sweetened with sugar

For patients with high cholesterol:
Egg yolks, all breads and cereals, corn, barley and oats

Others:
Oils, butter, margarine, lard

Refined sugars:
Chocolate, jams and preserves, honey, peanut butter
