Slow metabolism a leading cause of weight gain at
midlife. We have learned how complex weight control can be, and that
obesity can be caused by many different factors. The
calories-in-calories-out theory (you lose weight when you consume fewer
calories than you burn) is always important, but it not the whole story
for weight control. It does not account for how different foods affect
your hormones, nutrient needs satiety levels and your work out.
